(260124) -- ZANZIBAR, Jan. 24, 2026 (Xinhua) -- A member of the 35th Chinese medical team in Zanzibar provides hands-on guidance on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) diagnostics for local medical technicians on Pemba Island of Zanzibar, Tanzania, on Jan. 23, 2026. The 35th Chinese medical team in Tanzania's Zanzibar and Abdulla Mzee Hospital on Friday jointly launched an MRI clinical application training program.
The program follows the installation and initial clinical use of MRI equipment on Pemba Island. It has attracted more than 50 medical professionals from hospitals across Pemba, including radiologists and clinical physicians.
